Photo report

29-10-2004

On Saturday 29th October 2004 I have visited the model railway fair Eurospoor 2004 in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht (the Netherlands) together with my father. I made a photo report of this visit.

Two pictures of a display with Dutch landscapes.

Picture 1: This model railroad club has on its display a section where they have hidden twelve Dutch proverbs. It's not a competition to find them, but it's a challenge to try to recognise them.

Picture 2: A little further ahead is one of its ends.

I like the decor of this display.

Picture 3: Here is a display with Dutch railways. The display shows the line Hoorn-Medemblik (in the north of the Netherlands). On the picture you can see a section which has station Hoorn.

The imitation of the line on scale looks really good.

Two pictures of another display with Dutch railways (owned by the TCM club):

Picture 4: The poles of the overhead lines are recognisable for the Dutch railway lines.

Picture 5: A different part of the display is shown here. I'm standing on the same place as picture 4, but I took the picture in a different direction.

Picture 6: This display has been made entirely out of wood. The models are very detaillic.

Picture 7: This is another display with a Dutch theme.

This display looks very nice.

There are a lot of displays with a Dutch theme here at Eurospoor.

Picture 8 and 9: Two pictures of a display with Swiss landscapes. This display is after the example of the lines of the FO (Furka Oberalp bahn, private Swiss railway company).

Picture 8 (left): A section with a station. Two trains are passing here.

Picture 9 (below): This is section with winter landscaping.

Does it remind you of the winters in the Alps (or other mountain range)?

Picture 10: A mountainous display with a village and a bus, which is just riding behind a house.

(better enlargement not yet available)

Unfortunately this was the last picture of this event, but there are more pictures on the website of Eurospoor.
